Welcome to the horribly up to date rock soc blog.

Firstly some vaguly important info. The first social is going to be this friday, the 11th. We'll be meeting up in the student union, since hopefully everyone knows where it is, at about 9pm. we'll be heading down to The Voodoo Lounge at 10, or whenever people have finished their drinks. Then off to c103 for a grand entrance at 11. The membership cards probably won't be sorted by then but we can hope. if not we'll be sorting out some replacement cards, probably some cardboard or paper things in plastic to last a week or so.
Next up, the wee in rock. There are a fair few rock venues and nights spread around plymouth so i thought i'd list them to try and see as many of you there as i can.
firstly we have a new rock night starting up at flavella on tuesday nights, run by shadow, arsehole extrodinaire. Not had a chance to go to it yet but feel free to go along and give your verdicts.
on wednesday there's a rock night goes on in voodoo. It's got free entry and everything.
thursday is very important, the warehouse, next to c103, opens its doors to the rabble that is plymouths alternative scene. Mark Williams on till somwhere around 2:30 playing requests all night. With the rock soc card you get £2 entry and 2 drinks vouchers, i believe they're for vodka and mixers but the price is right. Also you get a voucher for free entry on the friday. Opens at 10 and runs till people stop drinking.
Speaking of which, friday night. 3 rooms af a variety of metal, rock and alternative. cheap entry and free drinks with the card.
There's also the white rabbit in the underpass by bretonside bus station, good venue for live music, live bands most nights.
Voodoo also do other rock a style nights on a monthly basis, this saturday fans of EBM Synth and Industrial should head down for Dark Angels. £3 entry running from 9pm till 3am.
